Many people dream of having a cherry tree in their garden. However, starting one can be challenging, especially for beginners. Luckily, there’s a way to grow a cherry tree in just a few days using the stone inside the cherry.
Step 1: Choose Ripe Cherries
Begin by selecting very ripe cherries to maximize your chances of finding suitable seeds. Look for cherries that have a deep red color—this indicates ripeness.
Step 2: Extract the Pit
To remove the pit, you can either eat the cherry and keep the stone or cut it open with a knife. After extraction, clean the pit thoroughly to ensure no pulp remains. The more pits you collect, the more plants you can grow!
Step 3: Speed Up Germination
Now, you’re ready to sow the kernel. To accelerate the germination process, create a small crack in the pit or remove the embryo from its hard outer shell using a nutcracker.
